Outdoors in 2024

Spring-Summer Update

The growing season is here again and we’re so happy to be preparing for the next few months of outdoor activities around the Cedar Park United grounds and gardens.

The outdoor labyrinth is being top-dressed—so watch for when it’s ready to walk again.

We’re looking for donations of specific indigenous plants (scroll down for the list) we'd like to give a home to in our gardens.

We’ll be planting indigenous sunflowers during Children’s Worship on May 12.

We’re getting ready for year 2 of Vacation Creation Camp and our collaboration with Urban Seedling.

We’re looking for plant donors…

Here’s the specific list of indigenous plants we'd like to give a home to in our gardens this season. Dig them up from your own garden or purchase them from a garden centre.

1 - Black-eye Susan (Rudbeckia hirta)

2 - Potentilla anserina

3 - Coreopsis lanceolate

4 - Liatris Spicata (Blazing Star)

5 - Lobelia cardinalis (Cardinal flower)

Please bring your flowers to the courtyard of the church building and place them near the wooden seat. Thank you!

Vacation Creation Camp is back for a second season!

After last summer’s wonderful first season, we’ll once again be inviting the neighbourhood to become Creation Counsellors, taking turns caring for our little corner of Creation throughout the summer.

The launch date of the Vacation Creation Camp season is Sunday, June 2 at 11:15 AM.
